SIOUX FALLS, S.D. (KELO.com) – A candlelight vigil to observe International Overdose Awareness Day is scheduled for tonight.
Non-profit Emily’s Hope is laying out 54 empty shoes to represent those who lost their lives to overdose in Minnehaha and Lincoln Counties since the beginning of last year.
It begins at 8 p.m. at the River Greenway Amphitheater in Sioux Falls.
The Arc of Dreams will be lit purple, the international color of overdose awareness.
