RAPID CITY, S.D. (KELO.com) – Police say Monument Hospital is safe after a bomb threat was reported around 8 a.m.
Rapid City bomb squad was called to conduct a sweep of the property before determining there was not real threat.
Multiple hoax calls were placed to medical facilities throughout the country.
Rapid City police say the case will be turned over to federal agencies.
No restrictions were issued to hospital staff or community members as the sweep was taking place.
