PIERRE, S.D. (KELO.com) – State legislative candidate Neal Tapio of Watertown ‘taps out’ of a debate…just hours before it is to be held.
He says the reason is the selection of former Legislator Lee Schoenbeck as moderator.
Tapio says Schoenbeck is involved in litigation against Tapio and his company and has frequently criticized Tapio in past campaigns.
He says Schoenbeck can’t be viewed as an impartial moderator.
