DNA evidence leads to arrest of Brookings man in five year old robberies

BROOKINGS, SD (KELO.com) — DNA evidence has led to the arrest of a Brookings man on a pair of armed robbery cases dating back to 2021.  Police obtained DNA evidence in the two cases, but no matches from the FBI national database.  A match was found earlier this month with a man added to the database on a drug offense.  49-year old Joseph Tomaszewski is out on bond awaiting trial.
