SIOUX FALLS, SD (KELO.com) — Two South Dakota men have been indicted by a Federal Grand Jury in Iowa in the disappearance and death of 14-year old McKenna Wendel of Sioux Falls. Charges against Wendel’s uncle mark Milk, and John Rogness of Brookings were announced in Sioux City Thursday morning. Both were already in custody on charges related to other crimes. Sioux Falls Police Chief Jon Thum says the investigation has been deliberate, with very little information being released. “Quality investigations take time in making sure that we’re on the best footing for prosecution.” Wendel’s body was found in rural Brookings County several days after her grandparents reported her missing.
